Annual Exhibition Rules

EPS Annual Exhibition – General Information

The Exhibition entry process is the same as previous years:

  • Members must submit digital copies of their entries into the print classes (Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 & 9) 
  • PDI entries (Classes 5 & 6) must also be submitted 
  • Due to the space restriction on our final exhibition (approx 70 prints), the digital images for print class entries will be pre-judged (if required) in order to select those for exhibition;
  • Members will be informed if their images have been selected for exhibition, members must print those images and mat them at the club
  • On the opening day of the exhibition, the printed entries and DPI’s in each category will be judged, for which Cups will be awarded.
  • Members must pay £1 for each entry submitted into any of the classes.

Classes

Open Classes

1.  Black and white print                      Portraiture

2.  Black and white print                      Pictorial – (eg. any subject)

3.  Colour print                                      Portraiture

4.  Colour print                                      Pictorial – (eg. any subject)

5.  Projected Digital Image                     Portraiture

6.  Projected Digital Image                     Pictorial – (eg. any subject)

7.  Theme – A series of at least 4 images within a single mount depicting a theme.  (Black and white and/or colour).

Novice Classes

8. Black and white print                          Any subject

9.  Colour print                                           Any subject

Note:  Novice members may also enter images into Classes 1-7 inclusive.

Print Classes: Digital submission of entries – (Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 & 9)

  1. Members may submit a maximum of 3 (three) entries per section.
  2. Images must be 

– in jpeg format and sRGB colour space

– sized to a maximum of 1400 pixels wide and a maximum of 1050 pixels high

  • Titled in the following format

Class Number_Your Name_Title   (eg. Class 2_Dave McDonald_Racing Car)

  • Emailed to 

epscompetition@gmail.com

Printing of accepted images – mount & print sizes

  1. Prints must be securely placed into a cardboard mount.

The mount outside dimensions must be 500 x 400mm and be white/off-white or black only.

  • The print can be any size within the mount.
  • Members must print the image if selected for presentation.
  • The printed image must not be altered or otherwise materially different from the digital copy originally submitted.

Submission of entries for PDI classes (Classes 5 & 6)

  1. Members may submit a maximum of 3 (three) entries per section.
  2. Images must be 

– in jpeg format and sRGB colour space

– sized to a maximum of 1400 pixels wide and a maximum of 1050 pixels high

  • Titled in the following format

Payment

Payment of the £1 per image entry fee must be made on or before our last club night in person or electronic payment will also be accepted via PayPal to 

djguru32@googlemail.com

If using PayPal please email the above address to confirm that payment has been made.

General

Only fully-subscribed Members can submit entries.

Only entries accompanied by the entry fee shall be accepted.

Prints and PDI’s exhibited at previous annual exhibitions shall not be eligible.

Images displayed/used at any of this year’s monthly competitions may be used.

No late entries shall be accepted.

The Committee reserves the right to change the entry requirements or arrangements at any time.
